Digimon Adventure or we can say, Digimon: the Digital Monsters is a 2020 anime adventure television series of Japan that is directed by Masato Mitsuka. It is a franchise of the original 1999 Digimon series that has once again made its way through the Television. This rebooted part was premiered on Fuji TV on April 5, 2020. When the series debuted in 1999 in Japan and North America, it unleashed the characters of big-haired Tai, Surly Matt, and their digital monster companions. This franchise was inspired by Tamagotchi, rather than the similar Pokemon series. Over time, the characters of the series grew up, reaching up to the level of the high school (that was in the Digimon Adventure tri, which was broadcasted in the year 2015- 2018). In the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna that was aired in February 2020, the characters ran into the stage of adulthood. And now, it seems that the hands of the clock are moving backward as, after the year 1999, the year 2020 is also marked as the beginning of the series of Digimon Adventure that is undoubtedly the rebooted part of the 1999 series and is streaming on Crunchyroll now. In the rebooted series, characters are the same, Tai and the companions are back going through an all-new set of digital adventures. But, as we can see that this rebooted anime series has made some significant changes to its story. It has a completely different plot as compared to the original one. All About Old Digimon Adventure and Rebooted Series

The original Digimon Adventure series of 1999 transported the main characters, “DigiDestined” kids from the real world to a verdant island that was filled with the monsters and they faced a situation where they had to save themselves and the world from the dark forces. They were transported by the Digivices that appeared before them at their summer camp where they befriended some Digital monsters. The series was aired in Japan in March 1999 and had a total of fifty-four episodes. The story of the original series focused on the main characters of Tai and Kari along with their companions who were finding a Digi egg from their computer. In the story, Digimon follows a group of 7 kids that can also be considered as the chosen “DigiDestined”. They entered the Digital World to save their world along with the human world. Each one of them was supported by their own Digimon partner. Before the release of the Digimon Adventure series in 1999, the series of the Pokemon was released in the year of 1997, and that had created an unofficial rivalry between both the programs. The Digimon series had to go through too many comparisons to Pokemon although they didn’t have any similarity between them. Well, the fact is that they both deserved to be appreciated in their way. Now, speaking of the rebooted part of Digimon series that has been released this year, it follows a much different story. However, there are still some episodes left to release from this new version of the series. But with discussing the first few episodes, this is what we see. “In the year 2020, the city of Tokyo is experiencing a series of cyber-attacks that are affecting the other world of the internet that is the Digi World as well. In the Digi World, we see the creatures called Digimon roaming. While getting ready for their summer camp, the kids were transported to the Digi World where they found their Digital partners along with the Digivices. They find that they have been chosen to save their world from the unknown threats of other worlds.” And now, they must find a key to save the Digital World from the dark forces. In the upcoming episodes, we might get to see a more dangerous fight that one can ever imagine between both the forces.
