Tiles are emerging as a favourable flooring option in the market, tiles are preferable choice for interiors in Hyderabad with the advancement in the tiles industry, manufacturers can produce myriad designs of tiles, with added strength and durability. Gone are the days, when marble and granites were the only durable options available in the market. Now tiles are giving stiff competition to the marbles and granite, tiles can be designed in any colour and shade. Such is the level of advancement that there are now tiles in the market which resemble marble, no one can differentiate between a marble and a tile. Ceramic tiles 


Ceramic tiles are the most common type of tiles and are easily available everywhere. Ceramic tiles are made up of finely ground sand, and clay, baked at very high temperatures. Besides being durable and easy to install, they are available in a range of sizes, which makes them an excellent choice for everyone. Ceramic tiles are easy to clean and require low maintenance. These tiles are used on floors, walls and even for decorative purposes. Glazed ceramic tiles are in trend these days; these tiles come with a glossy look, which makes their aesthetics grand and appealing, these are mostly used on walls. 



Porcelain tiles 

Porcelain tiles in appearance look similar to ceramic tiles; no one can easily differentiate between the two in terms of appearance. Porcelain tiles are baked at very high temperatures, this is the reason these tiles are also known as 'high-fire' material tiles. These tiles are stronger, stronger than ceramic tiles, these tiles can withstand tough situations which makes them an excellent choice for flooring. Porcelain tiles are very heavy just like natural stones but, natural stone is more porous as compared to tiles, porcelain tiles are almost non-porous in nature, this is the reason they give more protection from humidity and moisture.


Vitrified tiles 

Vitrified tiles have emerged as a favourite option for interior designers and builders in recent times. Vitrified tiles are an advanced version of traditional ceramic tiles, in vitrified tiles, a silica and clay mixture are added at the production stage, which makes the tile less porous and more durable. Interior décor in Bangalore says, the shine and lustre of the vitrified tiles remain intact even after years of use, this feature makes it the best alternative to marble and granite. The only negative side is, that the cost of vitrified tiles is slightly higher than that of ceramic tiles. Vitrified tiles are a perfect flooring option, these are suitable for humid and moisture-prone areas, these tiles come with anti-skid and scratch less features also.


Double charged tiles 

Double charged tiles are a superior version of vitrified tiles, the uppermost layer of the double charged tiles is thicker than 30-45% compared to vitrified tiles. Double charged tiles are designed to last long, its thicker body provides superior scratch resistance. Double charged tiles are mostly used in public places like; Malls, Stations, and institutes, where footfall is higher than the normal as these tiles are durable. These tiles are a perfect alternative to granite and are easier to install and, give aesthetic looks after the installation.
