Let’s get this straight. Canada Super Visa is a type of visitor visa only and is given only to the parents and grandparents of permanent residents and Canadian citizens.

Then, what is the major difference? The duration you’re allowed to stay on each visa in Canada.

A Canada visitor visa from India allows you to remain in the country for 6 months and allows an extension. With Super Visa, you can stay in Canada for a maximum period of 5 years – without any extension.

Visitor Visa Canada

A visitor Visa is a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), with which you can stay for six months in Canada. It can be for various purposes – tourism, visiting friends and family, visiting your spouse who has sponsored you for Canada PR, business, or compassionate reasons.

The Visitor Visa is of two types:

1. Single Entry Visa

As you can tell by the same, you can only Canada once and stay for up to 6 months. To visit again, reapply for the visa.

2. Multiple Entry Visa

With this visa, enter Canada as many times as you want till the visa is valid – which is 10 years or until your passport expires – whichever comes first. But per visit, you can only remain in Canada for 5 years, without renewing their visitor status.
