Operators of diesel generator sets need to understand what is to be done before they run the genset,what is to be observed while the generator are in operation,and how to respond in case of any malfunctioning or abnormalities occured.1.Check lube oil level
2.Check coolant level
3.Open and check fuel supply line
4.Check fuel supply
5.Check air filter restriction indicator
6.Check engine gear,bar engine manually
7.Ensure guards are installed for all mechanical accessories
8.Check security of all engine attachments
9.Check fuel system vents
10.Check coolant system vent
11.Check engine wiring
12.Check air pipes connection
13.Check coolant pipes connection
14.Check oil and fuel hoses connection
15.Switch on the engine J/W or lube oil heaters if installed
16.Check exhaust system pipe work
17.Remove engine/alternator transportation locking device
18.Switch on the engine/generator control system
