Check My Offer - An Offer Worth Taking
Here is a story...
A customer enters a shop which had just opened early in the morning and asks for an umbrella.
Shopkeeper was very happy to have the first customer of the day and shows him an umbrella.
Customer: How much?
Shopkeeper: Rs 100
Customer : Thankyou. Its costly. (He starts to leave the shop)
Shopkeeper: Wait. I will give it to you at Rs 60 which is my cost price.
Customer : No. It is costly (and again prepares to leave)
Shopkeeper: OK. Take it for Rs 40 ( (In India a shopkeeper believes that the first customer of the day should never go without buying a product even if the shopkeeper has to sell it in a loss).
Customer : No. It is costly.
Shopkeeper was now irritated. He was ready to sell it for a loss and yet the customer was refusing.
Shopkeeper: What? I am selling it at a loss because you are the first customer of the day. Do you want to take it Free?
Customer: I will take your offer only if you give me two umbrellas.
Moral of the story: Some times the customer puts up a front of "Hard To Get" for no reason.
