Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park is a London event running over two weekends from Friday 1st July to Sunday 10th July. The event is a summer extravaganza featuring:

·         Live music, comedy acts and film

·         Cafes, bistros and independent food stalls

·         Themed pubs and cocktail bars

Event Line-Up

The line-up for 2016’s event is:

·         Friday 1st July @2:00pm

Massive Attack

Featuring special guests Patti Smith and her Band, TV on the Radio, Warpaint, Ghostpoet and more.

·         Saturday 2nd July @ 1:00pm

Florence and the Machine

Featuring special guests Kendrick, Lamar, Jamie XX and many more.

·         Sunday 3rd July @ 2:00pm

Carole King

With special guest Don Henley plus many more acts

·         Monday 4th July – Thursday 7th July

Open House

A host of weekday activities including free open air movie nights and Wimbledon screenings, street food stalls, daytime DJs, live music and entertainment,, free badminton sessions, ping pong and much more.

Movie nights will consist of 2 film screenings per night, one at 6pm and one at 8:30pm. Films to be shown are; Groundhog day, Big, The Theory of Everything, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Moulin Rouge, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, ET and The Breakfast Club. Movie nights are sponsored by Coca-Cola.

The Open House event is a great way to discover the green expanse of Hyde Park for those staying in the nearby Park Grand London Paddington Court Hotel.

Horticulture Show

This is the first of its kind in the Royal Parks. There will be a selection of educational talks, horticulture discussions and demonstrations. You will be able to meet the park teams and friends who support the parks.

Mumford & Sons

Plus special guests Alabama Shakes, Wolf Alice, Mystery Jets, Nick Mulvey, Kurt Vile & the Violators, Baaba Maal and more.

·         Saturday 9th July @1:00pm

Take That

Plus special guests Olly Murs, Ella Eyre, Jamie Lawson, Nathan Sykes and more.

·         Sunday 10th July @ 1:00pm

Stevie Wonder

Plus special guests Pharrell Williams, Corinne Bailey Rae, KING and more.

Transportation

The central location of this event means it is well served by the London public transport network. Using these services, or even walking is highly encouraged by the event organised to ease congestion, long queues and to promote eco-friendly travel options. The Park Grand Lancaster Gate hotel is a 15 minute walk away from Hyde Park.

Food and Drink

2016 sees an even greater range of taste-bud treason artisan traders, producers and restauranteurs than ever before. There are also themed bars selling great refreshments from real ales to cocktails. There is a strict Challenge 25 policy throughout the duration of the event for anyone wishing to purchase alcohol.

Facilities and Services

Some of the main facilities and services on offer for the event are:

ATMs – there is a charge for each withdrawal.

Free drinking water available through the event with clear marked stations.

Funfair – rides and attractions operated on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Information Hubs – posting details of current stage times and the places to ask questions and leave feedback.

Merchandise – vendors selling a range of event and artist merchandise. Vendors inside the grounds will have official merchandise.
