Canada has a point-based immigration system for skilled professionals under the Express Entry program. However, to qualify for this immigration stream individuals need to obtain a minimum of 67 points. This Canada PR eligibility depends on factors like age, education, work experience, language proficiency (English & French), adaptability, etc. Alorence Immigration evaluates each profile carefully, assesses the chances of permanent residency possibilities, and then initiates the immigration process. They have helped thousands of Indians obtain PR visas in less than a year. Positive reviews and high ratings in MouthShut, Sulekha and Google show how they have emerged to be one of the most genuine visa agencies in Bangalore.

What is Canada PR Eligibility?

The below criteria need to be fulfilled to apply for a Canada PR visa. It is the first four factors that usually help an individual score 67 points and above to qualify for the Express Entry or Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

  • Age

Candidates need to be at least 18 years of age to apply for Canada PR. You get maximum points for the age factor if you are between 18-35 years. Beyond 35 applicants get lesser points until 45 years. Post 45 years, applicants will no longer receive any age-factor points.

  • Education

An applicant needs to be a graduate to obtain good points. Postgraduates and Ph.D. candidates earn the maximum points. Any foreign educational certificate needs to be evaluated and approved by accredited bodies (like WES) to consider these degrees or diplomas equivalent to Canadian standards.

  • Work Experience

Candidates having work experience of six years or more get the highest points. To immigrate as skilled workers under the Express Entry system, applicants must have at least one year of work experience.

  • English language proficiency

A minimum of CLB 7 needs to be scored to submit your Express Entry form. Higher IELTS scores lead to an increase in comprehensive ranking scale (CRS) scores.

  • Any Canadian job offers

Having an employment offer in Canada gets you more points and maximizes your chances of getting a PR visa.

  • Adaptability

An applicant earns points if their spouse or common-law partner or family member (blood relation) is already working or studying in Canada.

Once the candidate is eligible, they can create an Express Entry profile as a skilled worker. Every applicant at Alorence Immigration will have their designated case manager to guide them in submitting the profile online. Once the candidates are in the pool, they will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the IRCC based on their CRS scores. Usually, Express Entry draws take place once every two weeks and the cut-off CRS score varies in each round.
