APJ Abdul Kalam India’s savior for science and technological developments!

It is a huge loss for India – the passing away of APJ Abdul Kalam, not only as demise of a former President but as a multi-disciplinary strategist who had endowed India with remarkable sense of self-pride and honour from past many decades. He was earnestly contributed and involved in getting India to adopt all the recent scientific advancements. Needless to say that he has played a significant role in indigenizing technologies that has long been denied or never thought of by India. He has always been an inspiration for Indian Science & Technology industry and for all other technology based industry such as IT industry by inspiring youth to pursue IT training and certification.

Rightly known as the ‘missile man’, we all know that he was a pioneer scientist in the space and nuclear technology as a project Director of ISRO, the director of Defence research and development organization. Also, he was in charge of the military and nuclear program. Few of the achievements for which he is recognized:

- First indigenous SATELLITE LAUNCH VEHICLE III.

- Missile systems - AGNI, PRITHVI & TRISHUL

- Conducting nuclear tests to establish India as a NUCLEAR POWER.

 

The mentioned achievements led India to attain newer heights and gained security and strategic strength, in few of the missions such as: The MARS ORBITER MISSION, CIVIL NUCLEAR ENERGY COOPERATION AND THE DEFENCE UPGRADATIONS.

 

These are some of the recent developments, can be seen as extended efforts of this great scientist who come from the down south of India. Also, he is known for, throughout his journey, making constant efforts at human resource management and development. He was a great orator as well, throughout his life he dedicated to the cause of inspiring and motivating students across country starting from the primary level to the University level. He wrote many books as about his experiences and achieving higher objectives for a better country.

 

He failed to become a pilot and became a scientist instead. Started his career designing a small helicopter and reached to developed a cheap stent for the heart and a rugged tablet computer, in the midst of everything, APJ Abdul Kalam steered India’s space, missile and nuclear programs. He gave India an all encompassing and futuristic solution to technology and space domain. APJ is no more but his legacy will live forever. He wore too many names in his life- mentor to scientists, promoter of rural development, and consultant to heads of states and institutions and exceptional nuclear development strategist.

 

APJ Abdul Kalam reinforces beliefs of today’s youth. He said “We must think and act like a nation of a billion people and not like that of a million people. Dream, dream, dream! Conduct these dreams into thought, and then transform them into action.”
