NECTAR: A Sweet Awakening to the Importance of Bees
The Serendipity Arts Festival 2024 invites you to embark on a unique and delicious journey with "NECTAR - Embodying the Critical Role of Bees in Food Systems." This immersive workshop, curated by Edible Issues, will awaken your senses and deepen your understanding of the crucial role bees play in our food systems.
Led by Jashan Sippy, founder of Sugar and Space, "NECTAR" combines live performance, artistic expression, and culinary exploration. Participants will actively engage in creating a vibrant edible tablescape, witnessing the artwork come to life before their very eyes.
The tablescape itself becomes a metaphor for the intricate web of life, with each element representing different aspects of the ecosystem. As participants "pollinate" by reaching across the diverse elements and customizing their own bites, they experience firsthand the interconnectedness of all living things.
"NECTAR" is a powerful tool for raising awareness about the vital role bees play in pollination and the urgent need to protect their habitats. Through this playful and interactive format, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the delicate balance of our food systems.
Join "NECTAR" and discover the sweet magic of bees and the delicate balance of our food systems.
