Delta Airlines Diverts DC-Bound Flight to NC Due to "Unusual Smell" Incident
On Wednesday a Delta Airline flight was flying from Georgia to Washington,
D.C. suddenly, it was forced to land in North Carolina as a small was reported
in the cockpit.
On Wednesday, the flight number with DL850 carrying 150 passengers took off
from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Along with passengers, there were
also 6 crew members in the flight. Now to make every passenger land safely it
landed at Raleigh-Durham Airport, North Carolina. It was also confirmed with
the Delta Spokesperson that every passenger and crew member in the flights is
safe and no small injuries are also caused.
However, to ensure each and every shared detail FAA (the Federal Aviation
Administration) is looking into the matter of the incident with every possible
step. In addition, FAA also confirmed in a statement that Delta Flight 850
landed safely at Raleigh-Durham around 5 p.m. local time.
After the unexpected stop, passengers were able to board another flight to
Washington. So, many passengers started looking for the Delta Airlines date Change possibilities and policies.
Nevertheless, the replacement flight arrived in Washington safely at 10:04 p.m.
“Safety is always our top priority,” Delta said in a statement on Thursday,
adding an apology to customers for the delay.
