After the muted celebrations during the pandemic years, the Hinduja family’s iconic Diwali Bash made a spectacular return in 2022. Held at their historic London home on Carlton House Terrace, the event blended deep-rooted traditions with modern touches, once again establishing itself as one of the most highly anticipated social gatherings that year.

The Evolution of Celebration Post-Pandemic

The Hindujas emphasized a more sustainable approach, incorporating eco-friendly decorations and minimizing waste. LED lighting illuminated the building in vibrant, festive colors, while recyclable decor elements highlighted the family’s commitment to celebrating responsibly in a post-pandemic world.

Notable Guests in 2022

As always, the guest list was a star-studded affair featuring industry leaders, diplomats, and prominent political figures, including several new faces from the world of technology and sustainability, reflecting the Hinduja Group’s expanding global influence.

The Spirit of Giving and Celebration

The Hinduja brothers – Gopichand, Prakash, and Ashok – along with their wives, warmly welcomed over 300 guests, including high-ranking officials from the 38 countries where the Hinduja Group operates. The family’s emphasis on the spirit of Diwali, with its themes of prosperity and giving, was evident throughout the evening. Sir Clive Alderton, Principal Private Secretary to King Charles III, conveyed Diwali greetings from the monarch, continuing the tradition started in previous years.

Harsha Hinduja, wife of Ashok Hinduja, presented Alderton with a beautifully crafted silver idol of Goddess Lakshmi, signifying the family’s deep respect for tradition.

A Strong Family Front

Gopichand Hinduja paid a heartfelt tribute to his elder brother SP Hinduja, who could not attend due to ongoing health issues. The evening’s celebrations, however, showcased a strong front from the younger Hinduja generation. Ashok and Harsha’s children, Satya and Shom, were prominent figures during the event, reflecting their increasing roles within both the family and the business.

The Hinduja family’s celebration served as a reminder of the enduring power of togetherness, gratitude, and the joy of sharing light and prosperity during Diwali.
