The ability to effectively capture important ideas is important in a variety of different settings, from the professional to academic world. On average, we have 6,000 thoughts per day. About 47% of these thoughts are not related to the task at hand, making it even more important to capture the most important ones down in some way.

There are plenty of methods of capturing ideas. The paper and pencil has been the most tried and true method for centuries, and offers a lot of flexibility. However, these notes can be lost or damaged, rendering them irrecoverable. Typing has overtaken pen and paper as the most popular method for the last several decades, but it can be time consuming, distracting, and less accessible to people with dyslexia.

Recently, AI content creator tools and transcription methods have risen to prominence as technology improves. Both methods offer convenience, accessibility, and are speedy than their predecessors. However, both have drawbacks as well. Transcriptions are not always accurate when converting speed into text and lack the ability to clarify what the original thought means. AI doesn’t require any talking or manual input, but is also unable to produce original thoughts and can sometimes draw on unreliable info.
