A very common thing with all these 4 styles of roofs is that they are very easy to install and also, maintenance related hassles are almost next to zero.

Roofing

SKILLION ROOF -

The definition of skillion roof is that when a single roof pane or a flat roof suit on a building at an angle, it is given the name of skillion roof. Here an important feature to understand is that the rear wall of the building is slightly higher than the front wall. With this kind of setup, the roof is not a flat roof anymore and hence, given the name of skillion roofing.

GABLED ROOFING -

The shape or the structure of this roof resembles a "V" that is upside down and an interesting feature of this roof is that the roof itself will not meet the end wall and hence, it gets this name of gable roofing.

Here, in this kind of roofing, the "upside down V" at the end is mainly the gable from which, this roof gets its name.

NOTE – A simple gable roof has a single central ridge.

HIPPED ROOF -

Hipped roofing is the name given to the roof type, where the roofing itself meets all the walls horizontally and in the standard hipped roof, you will find a central ridge. In some version, you will also find a triangle of the gable that is sitting vertical and because it is angled back, it forms a kind of ridge that is given the name of "hipped roof".

CROSS GABLED AND CROSS HIPPED -

In most parts of Australia, you will find houses that are not simple squares or rectangles and you will find them in "L" shape or even in "T" shape as well. In these properties, you will find houses having two gabled roofing installations that meet with the valley at the interior angle. If this structure is there at your property, you can call it a cross gabled roof.

In these kinds of properties, you can even find hipped roofs and these properties are covered by a cross hipped roofing by the experts of the chosen Sydney roofing company

MIX AND MATCH -

The experts also recommend "mix and match" style roofing, i.e. often the mixture of different roofs, but only their basic styles. You can have a gabled roof at a right angle to a hipped roof. In some cases, you will find these roofs being used for decorative purposes and for decorative purposes; the most common type used is the hipped roof and the gabled roof.

NOTE – Gabled roofs tend to be cheaper to build than hipped roofs.
