2022 WAEC RUNZ

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is an examination board that conducts the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for universities in five different West African countries.

The WAEC Expo was an examination board established by law to conduct the examinations required in the public interest in West African English speaking countries, conduct the examinations, and award certificates which are equivalent to examining authorities internationally.

The WAEC exams 2022 are set to begin on Monday May 9th and will end on 20th June on Monday 2022. This was decided at ministry-sponsored conference. The normal time for questions paper to arrive is 5am early in the morning. The West African Senior School Certificate (WASSC) takes place twice a year, during the months of May and June and during November-December.

 

WAEC organizes examination in West Africa on behalf of the following respective international examination authorities: -

 

·         University of London GCE

·         Scholastic Aptitude Test for Educational Testing Service, Princeton, USA

·         Graduate Record Examinations for Education Testing Service, Princeton, US

·         JAMB (which is abbreviated from Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board) examination in countries outside Nigeria

 

The 6 must choose subjects are: -

 

§ English Language
§ Mathematics
§ At least one Nigerian Language
§ one of the science subject (Chemistry, physics or Biology)
§ Literature in English, History or Geography

§ Agricultural Science or a minimum of one line subject

In addition every student is obliged to sit in two or three of the following subjects

Grading of papers: -

 

·         A1        Excellent

·         B2        Very good

·         B3        Good

·         C4        Credit

·         C5        Credit

·         C6        Credit

·         D7        Pass

·         E8        Pass

·         F9         fail

These exams conducted every year are recognized internationally and are based on international standards.
