Hello,

What Effect Has The Price of Crude Oil Had On You:

Did you know that Crude Oil has not reached it's all time high of $102.53 since it accomplished this feat back in April of 1980. It has been almost 28 years since it reached it's all time high, a year after the Iranian revolution.

How much money do you really need to make, a difference in your life style today? How can an average family be able to afford the basic needs of just getting to work, and making ends meet? Great concerns for all of us, to think about what is a head for the future.

Has the price of oil effected your standard of life lately. What can we as consumers do to change the regulation of oil prices. If prices keep going up, what is going to happen to our future. Here is an example what has been happening in the market, Gold, copper and soybeans, have all touched record highs. This is all due to the price of crude oil........

Lets Do A Survey

This will all be based on the location of your present residence, doesn't really matter what country or where you live. The more people we get from different countries the better this survey will be. I am just interested in seeing what is going on around the world and the effect and impact has had on your present state of mind.

-What is the current price of gas in your area, either by the gallon or liter?

-How many miles or Klms do you travel each day to work?

-How much money does it cost your family per month on fuel?

-Do you think we are getting ripped off, by OPEC?

-What effect has this had on your family budget or has it not effect it at all?

I would greatly appreciate, if we could get as many people involved in this survey, l am just doing a study on this and l need as much feed back as l can get from all who would like to share their feelings with all of us.

Once again l do appreciate your valued time and input

NOW FIND OUT WHO IS BEHIND THE HIKES

This is all due to Rae, who found and wanted to share this video, you really need to see this video.....

See what CNN has to say about gas hikes

Hi Rae,

Well at least the gas price in your region, is not acceptable but much more attractive then where l live we approximately $1.72 more a gallon then your paying. Again who has the control over this alarming price fixing, as l call it. We have had many debates on the radio about average people crying the blues about how will they be able to meet their everyday expenses.

You take an average family with two kids, mom and dad working, two vehicles and your looking at an average family

Arthur that is all very well true, but we can't blame it all on the politicians now can we?

Hi, Garnet,

I just love an optimist!

Politicians have been aware and have had it in their power for over 18 years to regulate the size and fuel economy of all internal combustion engines. They didn't do it.

They have had it within their power to ensure that fashion trends did not impact upon levels of polution and the rate of consumption of scarce resources. They didn't do it.

They have bee

Here in Michigan (USA) gas is running right around $3.09 a gallon (I have no idea what that converts to) Since I use my car in my business and travel around 50 miles a day, these increasing gas prices are hitting hard. I guess my monthly car fuel bill is running close to $400 a month. And, my heating bill (natural gas) has gone up as well. I lower the thermostat. I have no choice, I must cut back where I can. I cannot place all the blame on OPEC's shoulders. The continuing escalating debt

Garnet,

Hey l agree with you l know all about that region and what is happening their and you know our government how it reacts to outside investors............We are the only country in the world that has the ability to live without having to import any raw materials we have all the natural resources to make our country self sufficient. The effect it will have for the northern region is really unimaginable, the damage that it will cause, will make the black forest look like a Provincial Par

They better leave that damn tar sand alone....unless they can explain WHY ACID RAIN in the basically UNTOUCHED region of Northern Saskatchewan is a natural and good thing!

Arthur that is all very well true, but we can't blame it all on the politicians now can we? We all have minds, don't we? We are all cabable of telling the differecnce between right and wrong just as we all have a choice to shrug the problem off and say we're screwed anyways, the solutions are too far away OR we can choose

Hi Robin,

It will be a longtime before anything changes here, fuel cost will increase at an alarming rate as supply become more in demand as we will see in the next couple of years. China will become one of the biggest consumers for crude oil. China has invested heavly in the northern part of Canada in trying to found a way of removing crude oil from the sand. Appearantly one of the largest of untapped supplies of crude oil in the world......If this happens and they found the right solutio

Since I live rurally, and have to drive to get anywhere, this has a huge impact on my life.

Gas here is currently $3.10/gallon for regular. I have a vehicle that requires higher octane gas or it doesn't run as well, so I paid $3.29/gallon two days ago.

Fortunately, I work from home. But, I do drive my kids 4 miles (one way) to school every morning. The closest grocery store is 15 miles one way, and we go once a week. My husband travels a lot for business, and the closest airport is 55 mile

Hi Garnet,

Talk about team work, my main man "Arthur", here just provide you with the details on Why. Thank you Arthur for sharing that information with all of us...

Makes pretty good sense, the only difference l would never been able to put it the way Arthur did, he has certainly more talent then he leads us to believe..........

The weekend is coming up soon means the price should go back up by several cents as it always does.........ouch...

Hi, Garnet,

The solutions are many years away because:-

1 - Politicians have their snouts too far down in the troughs to see or care what is happening

2 - The solutions require cross border and international co-operation

3 - The solutions require a level of honesty and openness that our politicians would not have the first idea of how to achieve.

4 - The solutions require a public awareness of the true causes - something that is never going to happen (As GWB would say - "Only ove

The next time you think about spending a few extra bucks on a movie, a lottery ticket or a late-night snack, be warned: you may need your dollars for the pump.

A recent fuel gauge report from the AAA Southeast Auto Club shows that the average per gallon price of gas in Georgia is now a

On the OPEC topic, a simple question.

If you owned a scarce resource would you try to get the highest possible price for it - or would you be Father Christmas and give it away to people who had squandered their own supply?

Hi Jenny,

Yes you do have an understanding of what is going one. I do agree it is not only OPEC, used them as the prime example since my topic was on Crude Oil. Most people forget how we got here and why it worked so well. It is all about a balanced equation making and putting issue in perspective for all of us to understand.

Thank you for your comment.........l do appreciate it......

I am with you 100 per cent on this one Joseph,

There may be some long term good things that come out the increased price of crude. We might take more seriously the development of solar and other non oil based forms of energy, and a few other things like that. But, however positive you wish to be

BUT, the present prices of crude affect everyone who uses anything that relies on transportation - that is to say, all consumer goods, all manufactured goods - in other words EVERYTHING.

So we

Garnet,

Yes you could have a point there, and yes there are many solutions to any problem. But my point here is we have missed the boat in founding this solution and l feel it is going to become uncontrolable. See it will be very hard now for OPEC to give us a break, they like what is happening and once you get the taste of the oh mighty dollar you have a hard time sharing it

As l pointed out in the last comment l made wait until China gets into the ACT, then you will see the real problem,

Hello Arthur,

You are a very wise man, if you only spend $15.00 per week, then you definitely part of the solution. You pointed out so many different reasons why crude oil is at what is today and getting worse. Yes l do remember when crude oil was at a $102.00, but it never had the same effect at the pump as it has now. Totally different marketing techniques by the most powerful union in the world. Yes it's OPEC, no doubt. As you mentioned supplies are growing smaller and the cost to conv

Hi Joseph,

Chuck can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe what he is saying is if we take an objective look at the issue(whatever it is) for every problem there is a solution, and probably a few at that. Hence if there is a solution it is not a problem.

For instance, the high price of fuel is what has caused the high price of fertilizer. Solution... Organic farming, no need for fertilizer plus added benefits to the enviroment and probably the health of consumers.

To the high cost of
