Christmas is the Pits!

I had to say it. I just spent the last three hours doing everything I could to earn some money and gift cards before Christmas arrives. Why? Because my sister revealed to us that her two kids aren't going to be getting any presents from her unless some money comes from somewhere. It's heartbreaking. Especially when her daughter still believes in Santa. What do you tell the little girl? Santa forgot about you? You were on the naughty list? But my sister, a single mother, just can't do anymore than she is, because she has only been able to find part-time work that covers food and rent.

I need to help her. Money is tight for me as it is, because I too don't work full-time at my day job and everything I make marketing is reinvested. I was happy to be making just enough so I could buy presents for my family. Now, I have to help her. I can't let it pass that those kids won't be getting anything from her when they've gone through so much this past year. So, I'll continue working extra hard to try and make money that will help her. We won't have a lot this Christmas, but everyone deserves a little something.

Anyway, I just had to get that off my chest. Hopefully, next year will be easier for all of us.
