ROCHESTER, NY (September 17, 2015): Empire Digital Signs, a Rochester-based digital signage company announced today their plans to install an interactive kiosk at Webster Public Library. The need for such technology emerged when the library began talks of a renovation that would completely restructure the facility. The renovations not only include massive additions for the library, but would flip their front entrance to the opposite side of the building. Webster Library reached out to Empire Digital Signs to create a personalized interactive kiosk that would greet guests at the new entrance and provide information on the new library layout.

Empire Digital Signs plans to install the interactive kiosk upon the completion of the renovations, which are scheduled to begin this month. The interactive kiosk will be located at the new front entrance of the building.

“The Webster Public Library is always looking for ways to improve the patron experience," states Anna Souannavong, Webster Library's Adult Services Librarian, “With our new renovation underway, this interactive kiosk would be an excellent tool for the introduction of our new layout and will be utilized to greet patrons, assist with navigating the new floor plan, finding collections and being aware of the changes and ongoing events.

The Empire Digital Signs team has been working on developing a unique user interface for the library. Their goal is to make Webster Library's guests feel comfortable with the new renovations by including detailed maps that will allow users to navigate the new layout and find the services they are used to. The kiosk will also include full access to Monroe County Library System catalog, employee book recommendations and upcoming library events.
