Is it me? Am I that popular on the web?

I don't think so. Else, I would have 1,000 referrals or more, not just 100. :)

I've never had such success with referring people to a site. Not close to that, in terms of number of referrals, and even more important in how fast it happened.

Well, I got excited about Wiki-Clix and focused all my efforts on promoting it since last Monday. It has paid off big time!

I use either that banner:



or text ads, like at Traffic Ad Bar.

I also use the ad network called Ad Hitz. This is not a referral link, cause they don't a referral system. Just to let you know, Teodor told me 70 referrals came from there. Am I the only one to advertise Wiki-Clix there? I guess so, well maybe Teodor too, I will ask him.

I had never tried Ad Hitz before a week ago. Why did I decide to try it?

Well, more and more, I see ads from their network on many sites. Not blogs or personal websites, but social networks and PTCs. Teodor now shows Ad Hitz ads at Wiki-Clix.

When you start a campaign at Ad Hitz, you see in how many sites your ad has been shown throughout the day. The banner is usually shown on between 500 and 800 sites. The text ads are shown on more than 1,500 sites many times.

You also see the number of times it's been viewed, and the clicks you get. The text ad is seen many many times more than the banner ad. I guess many ad publishers believe it's more popular than banners, it gets more clicks. Google AdSense is the best proof of that.

Warning: if you decide to become a publisher for Ad Hitz ads, i.e. show Ad Hitz on your sites to get paid for the clicks you will get, remove Google AdSense ads then, else Google will ban your account, and they will wait right until the moment it's time to pay you, saying you broke their TOS ( Terms Of Service).

Will you make more money with Ad Hitz than AdSense ? No idea. But, as I said, I see their ads more and more. The words "Ad Hitz" appear in the ad unit, for text ads and banners coming from their network.
