THE WORLD CUP 2018
2018 WORLD CUP
By Robson Morelli, Special envoy to Russia
Russia impresses in every way. And the fan of the whole world that wants to follow the World Cup closely next year will be able to prove that. The cities visited by the state are breathtaking, like Moscow and St. Petersburg. At the Confederations Cup in July, two other host cities were presented to the world: Kazan and Sochi. They all passed the test. At this time of year, in the Russian summer, the nights are called 'white nights'. This is because it gets dark late at around 10:00 p.m., and the sun appears in the wee hours of the morning.
In addition to the stadium structures already ready and used in the Confederations, the four cities offer the visitor good options of walks, from beaches to historic places. The Moscow subway will be a separate chapter in the World Cup. It spans the entire city, from the Kremlin to more distant places. Its lines are ordered by color. There is an open-air Moscow with its monuments and imposing stately buildings, some bordering the Moscow River, and another underground, underground, with the beautiful and historic subway stations and shopping malls that sink into the land. There's one of those in Red Square.
