How to connect AirPrint printer to Wi-Fi network

If you own a printer which is compatible with AirPrint, you can print wirelessly from your Mac, iPhone, or iPad by connecting the device to a Wi-Fi network.

Printer with built-in display

If printer can connect to Mac via USB

If you have an AirPort Base Station as your WiFi router:

-Navigate to the Utilities folder within your Applications folder and launch AirPort Utility.

 -Select the Base Station option before clicking on WPS Printer in the navigation bar.

 -Select the "PIN" or "First attempt" options as the WPS connection type to permit. Next, click on the "Continue" option.

-Close the AirPort Utility.

Printer with ad-hoc Wi-Fi network

-As a first step, ensure that the Mac software included with the printer includes a printer setup assistant before proceeding with the installation process.
