The Government of India’s ambitious scheme to accelerate EV adoption in India, FAME II (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles in India) has been extended for 2 years up to March 31, 2024, since its application from April 1, 2019, with a budget of Rs. 10,000 crore

The objective of this phase is to electrify public transport and extend subsidies, to support roughly 7k eBuses, 5 lakh electric three-wheelers, 55k electric cars and 10 lakh electric two-wheelers. In addition, the development of charging facilities to alleviate the problem of range anxiety among EVs is also promoted.

While this extension has significantly curbed the acquisition cost especially of electric two-wheelers, it has brought a great deal of excitement amongst every industrial player of EV including EV fast charger manufacturer.

The attempt to increase the demand for EVs by the Govt. will also expedite the development of EV charging infrastructure in India. From on-the-go charging booths to residential and commercial EV charging station installation; the EV charging network tends to gradually expand its coverage to make eMobility possible.

At this point of time, the exhaustive range of EV charging stations is the major setback in the adoption of EVs along with other factors. Though EV manufacturers thrive to maximize their battery efficiency for maximum mileage, the scarcity and time required to charge, are increasing the pressure for EV charging station manufacturers like Griden Power to amplify their manufacturing process and extend their network for more availability.

Having said that, Griden Power aims to address these challenges with the right implementation of technology and manufacturing of smart EV stations that can be operated without human intervention. Interesting, isn’t it? Here is how?

IoT-based EV charging units
Maintenance of EV charging can be quite a hassle but not with Griden. Their IoT-powered EV charging units can be monitored remotely and thereby any fault can be diagnosed and recovered by their prompt services. Thereby, it stands as a reliable Made in India Electric Vehicle Charger Manufacturer. Furthermore, it can provide comprehensive transaction history of every unit in full detail.

Locating nearby stations
As Griden expands its charging network, it enables EV owners to track nearby charging stations, their availability as well as, will also facilitate advance booking in a short time. This will greatly motivate new EV buyers. Additionally, all the payments can be made using their EV wallet and hence get insight into their recharge history.

Advanced AC and DC charging
Griden supports charging for every mode of transport ranging from electric two-wheelers to heavy-duty vehicles. The modular design of the Bharat AC 001 charger greatly improves serviceability. This type of unified solution will further ease the charging hassles and make it mainstream.

On an ending note, the Fame II scheme is likely to bring transformation in the conventional conveyance means and also bolster renewable energy production for complete environmental preservation.
