3CX phone system requirements in terms of hardware
3CX is an SIP-driven software-based PBX that provides users with
internal and external telephone calls via PSTN (Public Switched Telephone
Network) or VoIP (Internet Protocol Voice) via SIP Standards software-based
exchange. Unlike traditional PTSN based systems, the 3CX phone system requires
computing hardware. Old systems needed wires and swathing boxes. You have two
options with the 3CX phone system. You can either set up an on-premise system
or a cloud-based system. Either way, it is necessary for you to do your
research.
You can hire a 3CX phone system solution provider to help you with the
implementation process and assist in the maintenance afterward. Most of these
providers can also provide additional features and perks with their services.
If you want to go through the implementation process on your own, or you want
to be informed about the requirements. Please check before deployment that your
device has the following:
These are the basic requirements for PBX service, but additional
reporting requirements may be needed.
- Windows (Standard or Server) – Must be x64 Bit Architecture.
- Standard Windows – Windows 7 or Higher
- Server Windows
- .NET Framework version 4
- At least 1GB RAM
- At least 3.2 GHz Processor
- At least 30GB Free space on your hard drive.
These are the minimum required specs for the computer on which you are
trying to run your 3CX phone systems.
