This article and information was just brought to my attention. All of you that are members of AARP, as I am, probably read this article or should of. This information can be found in the AARP Bulletin March 2007. The article is in the Your Money Section and the author is Sid Kirchheimer. Mr. Kirchheimer starts off his article: During 72 years of life, Johnnie Salter had only two credit cards. Johnnie had a sister by the name of Billie Crane. Billie said that she made her brother Johnnie get one of the two credit cards that he had, so he could make travel reservations for a fishing trip with his two nephews. Now here comes the scary part. Just before the vacation that Johnnie had planned with his nephews; Johnnie passed away from an aneurysm. Over the following two weeks, in January 2002, Billie discovered 21 credit applications made in Johnnie's name. It was discovered that "a new car and about $10,000.00 had been charged" says Billie Crane, 73. "It's bad enough to steal someone's identity and ruin their credit history". "To do it to a dead man, and to his family so shortly after his death, it's just terrible". But it's certainly easy, authorities say. Authorities say, scammers troll through obituaries for names and addresses. Then they buy Social Security numbers and other personal data-such as credit histories- of the recently departed for as little as $15 on the internet. It states in Mr. Kirchheimers article, that "About 400,000 checking accounts were opened in the names of deceased people in 2004". This information was given by Jay Foley of the Identity Theft Resource Center, a San Diego-based consumer advocacy group. Here's their web address: http://www.idtheftcenter.org This is so terrible, you're not even safe after you've passed away from identity theft! This why our company is proud to be associated with NewNet Mail. The private Internet Mail system. Sure it's different, but Hotmail and AOL and all the other correspondence systems were different at one time. We really need to be very careful how we communicate over the internet, especially in today's world. With NewNetMail, you, the subscriber are safe from Viruses, Scams, Spam, ID Theft and Pornography that are shown to our young children. You ask how are you safe? You're safe because NewNetMail is encrypted, 128 SSL encryption and we are proud to say that our code has NEVER been broken! Another article was recently brought to my attention, this next article starts out asking, "Do you really know how to forward e-mails?" It goes on to say that 50% of us do; 50% do not. Well, we'll tell you that you're all at risk with public e-mail. You can go ahead and use your filters and hope you receive your important mail that you, your family or business needs, and not all that garbage (Spam) that is normally delivered to public e-mail addresses. We at NewNetMail do not use filters, so you do not have to worry about your mail system picking out a word from something important and throwing it out! We are private and we 're FREE too! You can try our great system for free and if you prefer you can stay free, or you can upgrade to one of our paid services which starts out at $12.95 for private system and in our private system we will show you how you can partner with NewNetMail and start making a nice income from your residence just by giving NewNetMail away for free! So do yourself a big favor and take a few minutes and look at our systems. They're FREE to try, so check them out for yourselves. We promise you that once you have tried the private system or the retail and see what this system can do for you and your company, you'll just be amazed. Until next time, have a great day and be safe. Posted by wjmcc1953 at 8:54 AM 0 comments
