What exactly are subliminal messages? Subliminal is defined as "below the threshold of consciousness." It is that part of the mind that one is not completely aware of, but which still has the power to influence one's thoughts and actions. The subconscious mind is responsible for keeping everything within your body in running order and in control. Whether you are wide awake or sleeping, your subconscious mind is always working, seeing to it that your heart is always beating and that your lungs are working properly and breathing. It is that part of your mind that makes sure that blood is pumping to your entire system, that your skin stays healthy. It is even responsible for the growth of your fingernails and regulating your body temperature. EVERY function of your body is CONTROLLED by the subconscious mind - That, in brief, is how powerful your subconscious mind is. Subliminal messaging refers to the act of sending messages directly to this powerful subconscious mind. But how is this possible? There are two primary ways you can actually send subliminal messages. The first one is visually, such as using a subliminal software program to flash messages around your computer screen as you work. The second one is by using sound, such as with the use of subliminal CDs. Does subliminal messaging work? The New Scientist magazine, Anthony Robbins (a world authority on leadership psychology, an entrepreneur, author & peak performance strategist) and even the U.S. Govt all say yes
