How To Start Making Money Online
So you've heard you can make money on the internet, but you're just so confused on how to start. Here's one way (It's not the only way, but it is one of the easiest ways).
Pick a niche, then narrow it down one or two steps.
By this, I mean something like - fishing is a niche. It's absolutely huge and trying to stand out in this niche would be very difficult as you'd be up against manufacturers and suppliers with big advertising budgets. Narrow it down.
Salmon fishing is very popular - probably still too popular to become a 'face' in. Narrow it down.
Salmon fishing in Scotland - Now we're getting somewhere. Still big enough to have some money but not so large that the competition will care.
Salmon fishing on the River Spey is probably too narrow although it may be worth pursuing once you are up and running.
It helps if it is a niche you know something about and like.
Find affiliate products in your niche
Search on Clickbank, JVZoo and other free-to-join affiliate networks for products directly connected to your chosen niche. Products that solve problems, that help participants and that have a good sales page and (preferably) a good commission.
Find out where online people who are in your niche discuss their problems.
Usually, this will be in niche related forums but could be other places. Consider starting your own Facebook group or Page as well.
Join in with these discussions and become known. Ask your own questions. After 20 or so posts, questions and answers, make up a signature block that includes your affiliate link to the product you have chosen.
Stay active on the forum. The more you are active, the more your signature will be seen. Don't expect huge returns immediately but it can build over time, especially as you get more trusted.
The more advanced marketers will immediately notice I have said nothing about capturing leads, offering freebies, websites, autoresponders or anything else like that. That's because they are all extra complications that only confuse the absolute beginner. Once people are established making a little money, then they will have to confidence to go on to better things.
