Learning is NOT an Event
DISCLAIMER: This article is a result of the last 15 years I have spent online and the observations I have internalized while watching and discussing failure in myself and others.
Most people trying to find a way to earn extra cash online think, if they find the right opportunity it will be like flipping on a light switch. The possibility of moving from total darkness into a light flooded room keeps them trying one thing after another in frustration, wondering why it looks so easy for others?
The part that holds them back, is failing to recognize that it's a process and not an event. Even after you find the right plan to make progress with, you still need to learn and practice the skills to make it work. You don't hand a teenager a chainsaw and expect him to cut up a cord of firewood in couple of hours. Unless he gets the right instruction, he is more likely to end up in the hospital.
The same is true about learning to earn online. I recommend new beginners (or those who are still not succeeding), start with something simple (like clicking ads for pennies), until they see some money in the bank. Then build on that success to reach the succeeding levels that result in achieving their eventual goal. This process will reward them with far more than the money they were able to earn.
