Online Marketing: Time is more Valuable than Money

In 2001 I learned that my time is the most important thing when marketing online and it is something I cherish dearly. I encourage you to have the same outlook.

The old saying that you can get back money never time couldn’t be more true for online marketers. So sites that you go on and people that you deal with that suck your time leaving you with nothing to show is what’s holding you back.

Say if I wanted to plant a garden in Michigan, USA which I know I can only do this around May because I will need to harvest by September due to weather.

I go through total preparations by plowing the area, pulling out all the weeds and adding proper soil so that all I have to do is plant the seed. Seeds is ready to go.

I wake up in the morning set to plant then the neighbor comes over ask for help with moving something…then we have a few beers and play a few games of pool.

Time wasted…

Online Success

I put it off for the next few days because of business meetings or things scheduled. OK, a week later almost now it’s time to roll…

….but a lady friend comes over for a visit and this day becomes shot as well.

Now it’s July and half my list of what I wanted to plant has been erased because I let others use something I can’t get back…time!

I look at the would be garden only see that I have to start all over again…again! I put it off because I’m discouraged and mindset is use to not getting this done.

September rolls in and I say “next year will be my year to really harvest” in a disappointing whisper.

Online marketing thoughts

Now this is something I don’t allow to happen to me when it comes to online marketing. Yes, you will find me chatting but I’m multitasking at the same time by posting an articles or something profitable on various sites.

In other words, I will have a beer with my friend at my garden while planting my seeds. My lady friend comes over I will pull out a chair for her at my garden while I work on it.

The next thing you know they are helping me through the process. When I harvest, I fill my storage and give to them as well…

If you need to write 5 articles, a video, create a website, market on other websites then do it.

Don’t miss your harvest riding on another’s nothingness!

Friends online or off and family for that matter can be unknowingly destroying your success.

I love my friends but I love eating some of the best food in the world better!

In fact, short story on this:

I made it on this list of some popular lobster supplier out of Boston. They have a very exclusive list for their highest quality lobster.

I’m number 3 on that list only because an old friend of my online passed away leaving the position on this very expensive list.

I have no idea what the most expensive lobsters in the world is but I’m sure this place is in the top 3. My friend knew I liked lobster so got me hooked by sending me one of these.

Since then I fell in love eating them!

Anyhow, I was going to this 5-star restaurant in the Detroit area weekly ordering the lobster. Chef pops out and says “this the best lobster in the world!”

“No it isn’t, by far!”

I was escorted out shortly after my comment but as he yelled at me he said “if you find a lobster better than this you can eat here free for life!”

As a joke I sent him 2 of my Boston lobsters in a limo with a note saying that I be there tomorrow at 8pm for my free diner…thanks!

I showed up at 7:50pm. I figured I was going to get put out again but the greeter asked me was I here for the lobster which I confirmed. She led me to my table…

Now I can afford to eat and live like this by not having my time wasted with useless chit chat or distraction on my end.
