ConcertBank Announces Possible Ticket Shortage for Maddie and Tae Concerts
Maddie and Tae, one of the hottest female country acts to come around in a long time, are quickly going from an opening act for groups like Dierks Bently to in-demand solo performers. And the tickets to their upcoming shows are quickly approaching sold out status. “We only have 72 tickets left to their October 2 performance at the Yakima Fairgrounds," says a spokesman from ConcertBank, and independent online ticket seller. “And because this act is so popular right now, we expect the tickets to be sold out long before the show arrives."
The girls group got their start when they met through their mutual vocal coach, and although they lived in two different states—Texas and Oklahoma—they became fast friends. Then, on a fortuitous trip to Nashville to write songs and record, they met Aaron Scherz, who was a talent developer for Big Machine Records. When he heard them sing “More Time and Slower Horses," a song they wrote about the father-daughter relationship, he told them he would work with them every free weekend he had. Scherz now says that the two girls not only share a talent, but also a hard core work ethic.
It was during one of those working weekends when Maddie and Tae began talking about the disrespect girls were portrayed with in male country songs, and 90 minutes later, they had penned “Girl in a Country Song," a hit that's received over 26 million views on YouTube to date. The video shows men in clothes and poses that are typical of women in the country songs.
“Every now and then a group comes along that shakes up the music industry," says the ConcertBank spokesman. “And in the Country Western music scene, these girls are doing a lot of shaking." The spokesman says that as of this writing, there are only 72 tickets left to see Maddie and Tae on their kickoff concert tour on October 2 at the Yakima, the Central Washington State Fairgrounds. “If fans want to see this debut tour and secure Maddie and Tae tickets, we highly recommend purchasing them now because tomorrow may already be too late." The spokesman recommends visiting the site online or calling 866-459-9233 to reserve the best seats.
