When you go hiking on your own, you will find local guides at the bus stop in Henrietta. It’s recommended to get a guide who will help you during the hike in exchange for a small fee. Don’t go on your own. if you have never visited the Tamarind Falls before, there are not many clear trails to follow. At some points the hike may be quite challenging, but it will be worth the efforts

The Tamarind Falls is usually a day-trip so make sure you start early in the morning and take enough food and water as it is difficult to find a snack bar, once you are in the difficult terrain

Don’t forget to carry sunscreen and mosquito repellent creams as the forests are notorious for tropical mosquitoes.

 

Facts

Tamarind Falls is also known as ‘Sept Cascades’ or the ‘7 Waterfalls’. This does not mean it has 7 waterfalls, but seven steps to the waterfall which slides in luxurious cascades to the final waterfall that accumulates at a basin below. Read more.
