Aqueous parts washer: an eco friendly option
In the automotive industry, and not only, cleaning the parts of a piece of equipment or device before assembling them is extremely important. For this reason, manufacturing companies have to use performing devices and agents, such as parts washers and solvents. A parts washer is a piece of equipment designed to clean all sorts of dirt, from oil or grease to ink or paint and even metal chips and corrosion resulting during the manufacturing process. This way, all the parts are prepared for assembly, supervision and delivery. There are many specialized companies which offer these types of products and encourage small businesses, which is why in case you are only a beginner in the field and you cannot afford investing a lot of money yet, you could try leased parts washing equipment. Since innovation is extremely important, there is an updated version of the traditional machine: aqueous parts washing system. This new generation machine is water based and represents a strong combatant of grime, while also acting sustainable and being eco friendly and safe for people. It is extremely powerful and efficient, using solutions and agents which are biodegradable, to avoid causing harm to the environment.
In case you cannot imagine how aqueous equipment looks like, just think about a larger dish washer, because the two are very similar. The parts are sunk in a container where hot water is mixed with special solvents, and then the devices uses mechanic power to perform the cleaning. There are two main types of parts washers based on water: the first one uses power: the items are closed in a turntable which rotates during the cleaning process, while the resulting solution surrounds the parts. Due to the high temperature and the fast rotation movement, the dirt, oils and stains simply flow away and as soon as the job is done, the parts can be taken out because they are ready for assembly. The send type, represented by a jet spray, is most of the times used for exterior cleaning and are operated manually. Both of these methods use four main elements on which the success of the cleaning process depends, and these are temperature, power of the detergent, time and mechanical energy. All these are adjusted depending on the others: in case you use an efficient detergent and many rotations (mechanical power), the time will be diminished and you may even use water at lower temperatures. On the other hand, if the solvents are not that strong, the process requires additional centrifugal movements, which is why it will take longer.
In addition to these elements, the efficiency of an aqueous parts washing device depends a lot on its volume. The power density must be adjusted depending on the work volume, in case you want to achieve the same outcomes for machines whose size varies: a smaller washer requires a lower horsepower, and this increases proportionally with the diameter of the reservoir. The devices come in many forms: manually, automatic, or even both, and their features and capabilities also vary depending on the model.
