The key to get a glowing look is Ubtan, a customary Indian beauty paste. On many instances even grooms have been seen using this organic-herbal to get a healthy glowing look.

Ubtan is made by using natural ingredients. It’s a mixture of pea flour (besan), turmeric (haldi), sandalwood powder (chandan), milk and rose water. Using all these ingredients, a smooth paste is made which should be neither too thick nor too watery. At many places few more ingredients like neem powder, dried orange powder, lemon juice, almond powder etc. are used to make this paste.

The quantity of various materials required depends on the actual need of the paste. If it is needed for the neck and hands only, even small quantity may serve the purpose but if it has to be applied on the entire body more quantity is required. After applying paste on the skin, it should be left to get dried and then it is washed with lukewarm water.
