NEW ORLEANS - If you are tired of people telling you that you always look tired because of the bags and wrinkles under your eyes, this story is for you.
Many people don't want to spend the time or money on surgery to fix the skin under their eyes, but a new, inexpensive product promises an instant solution.

Sheba gets a hydra-facial on the Morning News
Recently a large group of people had come to see a demonstration by a mother and housewife who promised those in attendance could instantly look younger and less tired.
"Let the transformation begin," says Rose Lodrigues, 55, as she stepped up to be the first from the crowd of women to try the cream.
Lodrigues works out in the public and says it's embarrassing when people say she looks rundown. "The bags, I feel very rundown, very tired. I'm not motivated. I don't feel good," said Lodrigues about the hereditary bags under her eyes that have been there for many years.
But in just a couple of minutes, when a tiny dab of a new product called Instantly Ageless was put under one eye, the natural fat pad that wa protruding, disappeared.
"Oh my gosh, I feel like I'm a movie star. I feel revived. I feel refreshed and that I can go out and tackle the world," sid Lodrigues enthusiastically. At this point, she had one eye done and the other not done so the contrast was very noticeable. Her bags were completely unnoticeable.
The first time Charlie Lincoln, 71, saw one of her eyes done, she got tears in her eyes.
"Because there was such a change and I had sort of given up on wearing make up and all that sort of stuff and then it seemed like it would be kind of, maybe sort of worthwhile," said Lincoln with one eye done. Her larger under eye bags appeared much smaller.
This is not the first product to promise instant, although just temporary, under eye wrinkle and fat pad correction.
Neotensil was a two-step process sold in doctor's offices for $500 for a seven-week supply. The proprietary polymers acted like Spanx for the under eyes. But it's now going off the market.
Instantly Ageless takes only one, quick step, costs $70 for a four-month supply and is sold by anyone who joins Jeunesse's multilevel marketing as, what's called, a distributor. It is not sold in retail stores.
"I'm just a mom. I'm just trying to make people happy," said Gidget Royes, a distributor in Metairie. "There's so many parties that I have scheduled right now and the demand, I can't even keep up right now and I need people to help me."
Royes paid to become a distributor right after Instantly Ageless hit the market a month and a half ago. She says the company has sales training sessions on the web. Since neither the Jeunesse company nor the doctors who created it returned our calls, we asked nationally-known dermatologists for their opinions.
It contains an ingredient called argireline. Argireline is a peptide that actually mimics the effects of Botox. Now with that being said, I don't want to overstate the benefits. Is it going to work as good as a Botox injection? No. Is it going to last as long as a Botox injection? No. But it does inhibit the neurotransmitters that stimulate muscles so it can at least in some ways mimic the effects of Botox," explained board certified dermatologist Dr. Patricia Farris who practices in Metairie. She also has been the spokeswomen for national dermatology medical groups.
"There are products that are actually polymers that increase the surface tension on the surface of the skin and actually push the fat back down that's bulging from underneath the eye. And, this is a temporary effect but it can be quite dramatic," said board certified dermatologist Dr. Mary Lupo. Her practice is in New Orleans and she has traveled the world teaching other doctors how to use Botox and many fillers. She has also been the principle investigator on many dermatology products seeking FDA approval.
The doctors believe the product is safe, with the argireline possibly working on wrinkles in a minimal way and the polymer-like ingredients tightening the skin, but only for the day.
But for the women and men who don't want to have plastic surgery, they don't mind the two-minute wait, staying expressionless, to look younger for the day.
Instantly Ageless is only sold by distributors. If you find it on Amazon or EBay, it could be counterfeit. To try some or to become a distributor yourself, here is a list of some contacts:
Demand is so high that retail sales are suspended until Feb 28, but any distributor can explain how to order the product now.
Dermatologist Patricia Farris is of no relation to reporter Meg Farris.
