Is Energy Deregulation something you think about?

"The deregulation of energy has been adopted by many states over the past several years as a way to allow for multiple energy providers; such as North American power; to compete for customers based on price and a higher level of customer service, break the utility monopoly into separate companies or business unit that separate the ''monopoly wires and meters company"from the generation company and also the customer service company and by creating a more competitive pricing market that introduces formerly non-existent market-based efficiencies that keep retail price down." -http://solargreen.tv/energy/what-is-energy-deregulation.html

What this means for US residents in lay-mans terms is that you now have a choice. You can choose who your energy supplier is using deciding factors such as competitive rates, customer service and what the company offers individuals and businesses that chose them for their supplier.

I had a customer in Maine today inquire about North American Power and the rates for his region in Maine. His rates through his current company are quite high ranging from $0.091088/kWh to $0.105288/kWh.

The rates for him through NAP are $0.0649/kWh for 25% green on a fixed 6 month plan with no contract and $0.08466/kWh for 100% green on a fixed 6 month plan with no contract. This is a saving of $0.02 to $0.04 cents per kWh for him meaning if he uses 1000 kwh per month he is saving an average of 20% a month on his energy bill.

On top of the monthly savings he is able to 'share' the company with other people such as his neighbors and family and friends and every time one of them become a customer because of him he saves a little more on his bill. After telling 15-20 people he gets his energy bill paid for by the company for life.

Also because he chose to sign-up as a customer today he is receiving a $50 Visa Gift card and if he tells two other people who become customers in the next 48 hours he will receive another $100 Visa Gift card.

There was no fee for him to switch, no shut offs; absolutely NO expense to him what-so-ever and he is making $150!

Over the course of the next month or two he will share this opportunity to save and earn energy for free and people will become customers, some may even want to become representatives because they see the potential to earn a very hefty income and every single time he shares and someone switches he gets more money. Eventually he will be getting a check from NAP on top of the free electricity.

No other company offers what NAP offers and so many people are hesistant to switch,..so tell me something. The company has no negative reviews, offers people cheaper rates, offers the ability to earn your energy for free, pays people to spread the word, creates jobs during a time when they are needed the most, donates to charity, does free fundraising for churches, schools and more,...what really is the hesitancy about?

You don't spend a dime to switch because your not switching the company that currently deals with outages and service, your only switching suppliers, you get all of the benefits I listed above as a customer so what is it?
