A Few Ideas On How Americans Can Fix Our Economy
There are various things that both the government and the people can do to fix America's economy. As far as the government goes, that has to start with Cindy's response at the top of this thread. The government must first be rid of all of those who intentionally seek to destroy America and freedom, in general.
What the Government Can Do:
• Remove the cap on welfare recipients' wages
This cap means that welfare recipients can never earn enough money to make ends meet, let alone get on their feet, break free from welfare and enjoy life.
• Remove the minimum wage
Minimum wage exists to keep welfare recipients stuck on welfare. The federal minimum wage will soon be above the welfare cap(s), meaning that, very soon, welfare recipients will not be able to legally hold even a minimum wage job.
• Remove the excessive tax burden on employers
As it is today, employers, especially those in small business, can no longer afford to higher workers. They are being forced to let go of American workers and, if they can afford to do so, export their jobs over seas.
• Remove the excessive tax burden on employees
The middle class is being destroyed by those who incessantly take Americans' hard-earned money through higher and higher taxes. Constantly, more and more families are being forced onto welfare.
• Levy a 90% tax on all foreign imports
The reason that there are not enough jobs in America is because they have all been outsourced to other countries. Levying a strong tax against corporations who do this would, over time, force them to create jobs here at home and hire locally.
• Remove socialist health care
Employers cannot afford to insure their employees under the so-called "Affordable" Heath Care Act. They are having to drop health coverage and knock employees' hours down to part-time. Worse, this bill governs much more than just health care. There are many regulations within it that have absolutely nothing to do with health and they ALL hurt the economy.
What the People Can Do:
• Vote for politicians who want to act on the above bullet points.
• If you are a business, buy American made supplies, hire your staff locally and, if you need to outsource any aspects of your business, outsource to Americans. We want the work and, if we do not know it, we are willing to learn it.
• If you are not a business, shop from local vendors, even online. Check the labels and do your best to buy 'Made in USA' items.
• Need a car? America used to make those things, ya' know. Way back in the '70s and '80s and those cars are STILL the best and longest lasting vehicles on the road today, more than three decades later!
• Got enough to give? Give locally. The mass media has blinded most Americans from the cold, starving and dying homeless people, children, families and veterans on our own streets. Worse, they vilify our homeless, making too many Americans scared to get close enough to give. Don't have money? Give a smile. Give a hug. Sometimes that can mean a lot more to someone than a buck or two.
• Ignore all of that Nazi "political correctness" hype. Buying something from another American does not make you racist or bigoted, or whatever those racist bigots are calling proud Americans today.
Wanna' stick it to the man? Buy Local; Hire Local!
These are just a few of the things that we, as a nation, can do to solve our economic problems. Got more ideas? Let's hear 'em! Scroll down and post your own ideas in the comments section.
