What is dropshipping?

Some people hesitate to sell stuff at eBay and other websites because they associate it with the pain of auctioning stuff, storing products, getting them packaged properly and then shipping the products to customers.

There is an alternative to that, called dropshipping. The first thing you will realize is you won’t touch any of the products you sell, at all; you also don;t have to auction things, because you're a seller. All you would do is to learn the best ways to list and the products you want to sell and once a sale has been made, and your money is in Paypal, you place an order at the wholesaler (which is the provider of your item), who then will ship it, on your behalf, as soon as you provided them the name and address of your customer and you paid for it.

In order for you to do drop shipping, here are some steps you can take:

-     - Register as an eBay seller, which is free - if you already have an EBay buyer's account, just tell them you now want to sell;

-    - Find wholesalers who provide drop shipping, which means they will send your item to the customer who paid you, without the invoice.

-    - List the products your wholesalers have available and make sure your price it correctly.

Can you make money from drop shipping?

-      - The difference between the sale price and the wholesale price will be your profit margin,; just bear in mind there are States and countries that charge sales tax and it costs money to promote your item and there are Paypal charges. You will make anywhere from a few bucks to thousands of dollars per sale, depending on what you’re selling, which is YOUR decision. If you’re aiming at $100 a day, you need to find an item with a nett profit of $100 or 3 with a profit of about $34 each or 6 with a profit level of $17 each.
