The reforms that these charities carry out include initiatives for availability of water in remote areas where there is scarcity of the same, health facilities to the down trodden free or at a nominal cost that suits their pockets, to name one. Many of the muslim charities are into building hospitals, schools, shelters, work opportunities, small scale business, etc. The muslim charity in UK is registered with the country and is a well known NGO since 1999. The main goal of this charity is financial upliftment of the muslims communities across the world. Though, initially they are concentrating on Pakistan.

For development in areas like health, these charities try to make medicines available to the down trodden class. They also conduct free health check up camps, free surgeries and free deliveries also. These charity organizations take complete care of patients by even building small hospitals with necessary facilities in remote areas where these facilities are not available. Under charity for islam for orphans, these NGO’s create education opportunities by building schools for their education and facilitate free education to them. They also build orphanages where these children can stay and get adequate food and clothes also.

These charities are highly active at the time of emergencies and provide all possible facilities during epidemics or war or floods, earthquake, etc. Their activities during emergencies include providing shelter, bedding, blankets, food packets, medicines, hygiene kits, clothes, ambulance facilities and more to the affected people.

Their programs also include propagation of islam and for this they distribute the Quran. For people who are poor, these Islamic charities create work opportunities, small scale businesses like weaving, tailoring, sheep, goat and hen rearing, basket making and more. They try to make these people independent.

For orphan children there is one great initiative that these charities have undertaken. It’s the child sponsorship initiative where well to do families are asked to take the responsibility of health, clothing, food and education of atleast one child. This way the child gets the required facilities and these charities get sponsors.  Thus, these charities are doing great work for the poor muslim communities across the world.
