Church is a divine place where people come together to pray and to seek inner peace or have tete-a-tete with God. So, their comfortable sitting arrangement should be the prime concern of any church. When you go shopping for the church chairs then you will surely be surprised to find the innumerable options that might just confuse you to find an appropriate chair for achieving a perfect church seating layout.

In the churches of yore heavy woodwork was used for chairs and most of these churches contained benches but that was time when there was less density and space was easily available. So, most of the churches had ultra large campuses which gave lots of space for people to feel and pray freely. However, in the contemporary times space has constricted significantly and hence the seating arrangement should also evolve with the requirement. You must always keep in mind that the people in congregation will be looking at the pulpit diagonally and they will be sitting for longer hours. Therefore, the chairs should also be comfortable.

Many churches use stacking chairs to prudently utilize the space so during the Sunday services or any congregation they can be placed and when not in use they can easily be stored. Churches are open for all so the chairs must have proper width to accommodate over-sized people. Perfect recline slope is also important, it must not be less to cause discomfort to people while seeing the pulpit diagonally and it should also be not much so that people start feeling sluggish. Extensive research has taken place and is undergoing to find the precise reclining angle for church chairs. This must be an important parameter in choosing church chairs.

Generally, many chairs are manufactured from plastic that are covered with fabric so you need to ensure that they are durable (as fiber made chairs tend to loose shape with varying temperature). Many churches prefer these plastic chairs in case of making additional seating arrangement when there is a larger gathering, so they are generally placed behind the row of wooden benches.

The design of chair is also an important aspect and it must gel well with the existing interiors of the church so if the interior is classic then the chairs must also have a classic design and it must either match or suitably complement the existing color scheme. The chairs must not look odd when they are placed inside the church.
