The Silly Season

The “Silly” Season,
Oh what fun.
Having no other reason,
But to bask in the Sun,

As the end of Year approaches,
And, the New Year encrouches,
May we all prosper,
May the World be free of Disaster,

Christmas decorations cover the trees,
Slowly swinging in a soft sea breeze,
May our paths never part,
And, may the true spirit of Christmas stay in our hearts,

As gifts are opened on Christmas morn,
Think of the King to us was born,
He being our Lord and Saviour,
Put on Earth to change attitudes and behaviour,

So as the Stars shine down from above,
Remember our dear Lords’ Love,
Spare a thought for those less fortunate,
That won’t have a Christmas dinner to eat,

So as I end this poem,
Remember you are never alone,
My thoughts and prayers are with you always,
From now till the end of my days...
