ETL Reporting

ETL stands for Extract, Transform and Load, it means whatever the scratch data that will be logged by data collectors will be cleansed and do some manipulations and then save to the data in a useful format. This entire task is taken up by the ETL tools. ETL is the heart and soul of business intelligence (BI). ETL processes bring together and combine data from multiple source systems into a data warehouse, enabling all users to work off a single, integrated set of data—a single version of the truth. The result is an organization that no longer spins its wheels collecting data or arguing about whose data is correct, but one that uses information as a key process enabler and competitive weapon.

Reporting is taking the data that was provided by the ETL tools (Datamarts or DW) then making the reports as per the business and presenting it to the End user for making useful business decisions.ETL Reporting
A lot of ETL vendors concentrate just on Data transformation tasks but we believe that most companies nowadays would like to automate entire business processes . One of the unique advantages of using Advanced ETL Processor is the ability to generate reports in various formats including PDF, CSV, RTF and Excel. It is also possible to automatically print reports. This reporting is not the old green-bar, six-inch-thick reports that was presented to the boss and kept on their table. The massive, one-size-fits-all report has been replaced with reports whose content is highly-targeted to specific business users. In addition, business people are able to examine the details behind the numbers and exceptions to discover what is fueling the trends. Ultimately, reports and spreadsheets are the mainstay of how business users are going to monitor their business.Sql Server Business Intelligence
