Does Social Marketing Work?

You bet it does!

The only thing is that 98% of the people that do it, do it wrong. Instead of social marketing, they do social spaming!

It’s sad to say but I think you can forget about FaceBook. You join groups and instead of  sharing ideas and different ways to help each other, all you get are invitations to join this or that promotion. I may be wrong, but that’s been my experience, I even got hacked on FaceBook. I still have my business page but I
don’t share with people anymore.

Social Marketing is about getting to know people, how they promote, what has helped them, what has helped you without trying to promote any program.

Skype has been my best friend. I have meet people that are there to share things they have done to help them, therefore helping you. I NEVER send a promotional link to any one I chat with. The best way to use social media is to have a good profile set up. Then start socializing with different people. If they like what they see they will check your profile out and see what you are promoting. This is an excellent  way to get get your blog seen.

I have contacts with some of the biggest name marketers  on line by just being social, asking question and things of this nature. Not blasting links, that will shut you down faster than anything I can think of.

Apsense is a good site to join. As well as IBO Toolbox. Linkedin is a good one also.

There are all sorts of forums you can join that are involved in the same kind of business you are in. Use the same rules mentioned above about a good profile, then go start talking to people. You will be amazed at how many friends you will make. Many of those friends can be in a position to help you, also.

Well, that’s my thinking on the subject. I could be dead wrong, however I know what has worked for me.
