Book Review The Charge by Brendon Burchard
Brendon Burchard is an author, speaker and coach. His most recent book is called The Charge. It's the only book that I have finished and turned back to the front to start reading again.
What is the Charge About?
The Charge is about releasing your potential, it is a book about releasing your greatness by activating certain charges in your life.
The Charge is about stepping out of mediocrity and boredom of todays life, truly living and connecting with your passions and your calling.
Brendon shares stories from his own life and his coaching students lives to illustrate the 10 charges he discusses in his book.
The 10 charges he discusses are control, competence, congruence, caring, connection, change, challenge, creative expression, contribution and consciousness.
In The Charge, Brendon writes a chapter on each charge (or drive) and discusses how they can help you become the person you can be.
I like the way Brendon writes, he writes very honestly and shares parts of his own story. The Charge is a very easy to read book, yet it is challenging. I would encourage you to write notes as you go.
It is one of those books that you could read a handful of times and still get something from it every time.
" Every once in a while you read a book that completely changes how you think about your life, igniting within you a new internal drive to be more, do more, and give more. This is that kind of book." David Bach New York Times #1 best selling author.
Shoud You Read The Charge?
If you are feeling that your life is not all it should be, if you are looking to get in touch with your greatness, then you should read this book. You may do exactly what I did when I finished! *update always spellcheck before publishing!*
