Unraveling a demented mind – How I started the war

Before you set out the intelligence services on me, you might want to hear me out. This is a theory I have, maybe not even a new one, that I could have catapulted a nation into its tragic circumstances by my own doings. I believe for a fact that every action has a reaction. It may not necessarily be an opposite reaction, but will generate a reaction nonetheless. In fact no action of ours goes without a series of reactions. Be it, a simple action of just keeping the door open for a person you have seen approaching or banging the door shut even though you have seen the same. The reaction I am talking about may not be spontaneous or on the spot, but can fester its way to its consequence.

Examining a human being.

Let me explain things in simpler terms for you to fathom. Every person I refer to as a ‘Switch,’ will either be the first to start of an action whether positive or negative. Anyone who is directly or indirectly affected by the action will then become the ‘Conductors.’ It may take a couple of Conductors for the end result of the action to materialize or may take many more. The final product of the action will inadvertently be in the hands of the elite and powerful of this world. These I will name as ‘Deciders.’ But there is in the circuit of life, also people strong willed, who may choose not to act or react to a Switch or a Conductor. The signals they receive from either, they tend to ignore and thereby break the whole chain reaction. These are the ‘Breakers.’

Every human being is a Switch at one point of time or the other. They either start the chain reaction of events either on a daily basis or remain satisfied being Conductors. Very few out there are Breakers who are strong willed in the sense; they are able to divert the mode of events, just by not reacting and thereby breaking the chain. Not all the time is a Breaker welcome in the chain of events since some good results are also prevented from materializing at their expense.

Before I jump into the theory of why I believe I could have been responsible in starting a war, I would like to share a bit about myself; the state of mind that I am usually in. I am not a person to boast about myself but nevertheless let me tell you that I have a very pleasing personality. I am polite and courteous at all times to everyone. I put everyone ahead of myself. I am of the feeling, if I do not like something, I shouldn’t expect that for others either. I give way to others at all times, be it while I drive my car or just let someone else take my place in a queue. That said, I am not a people person and do not like anyone.  In fact I have severe bouts of mood swings where I, dislike or even hate everyone and everything.  The only thing that keeps me from going postal on the world is a belief in spirituality and concepts like what goes around comes around. Crushing someone’s skull and bludgeoning someone may stray into my mind during these sessions of insanity, but I am happy to say I have always overcome these depravities.

Let me get to the nitty-gritty of things and start to explain the whole theory with examples. I know it is going to be really difficult to digest this theory of mine and I do not expect you to comprehend and approve of it either. The example I am giving to you might not even have taken place in reality but it is there to ease my explanation.

The theory explained – How I started the war.

I woke up one morning, which was like every other, and continued, with my daily routine. Shit, shower and shave. The three ‘S’ system I wake up to and follow rigidly on a day to day basis. Depending on the availability of time, I prepare myself a cup of coffee and head of to work. On this particular day due to time constraints, I was unable to have my cup of coffee. Instead almost everything I did required a bit of urgency on my part. Hence no coffee, running down four flights of stairs because the building elevator was under repair and realizing that I had forgotten my car key when I reached the car door. Needless to say I was pretty upset with the whole situation. Eventually after I went back and got the key to my car, I was not my pleasing self anymore. This is where I turned to a Switch.

I remember driving out my colony with no hassle even though I was pretty short of time but when I reached the highway, that’s when the energy (Plenty of negative energy at that) was released. I could see from the side mirrors that someone was speeding to come to my lane. I knew he/she wanted to come to my lane because they had the indicator on. The devil in me did not give way to this person (Clark) and instead matched him in speed until he got boxed in behind a slow moving two ton pick-up.

Now Clark, who was till then having a wonderful day decided to conduct this negativity unwillingly and took out his frustrations after he reached his office at his office clerk (Sammy).  Clark admonished Sammy for not having done his administrative duties that were expected of him the day before.

Sammy who was an easy Conductor passed on the relic to his wife as soon as he got a phone call from her saying that he was displeased with the way she maintained the house, especially leaving dishes in the sink for hours at a stretch. His wife (Jenna) was at work when she got this rude awakening.

Jenna at most occasions could easily have been a Breaker and broken this chain reaction due to her strong will. Not today though, because she was already stressed about other aspects of her life when Sammy was so abrupt with her. Jenna and Sammy had been trying to conceive a baby for the past four years and even the trying had stopped seven months back. She felt neglected as Sammy was spending more time away from home and less time at home. All this drove her this time to act as a Conductor herself. She worked as an HR personnel at an international company and unintentionally became a passed on the buck to a long serving employee (Yusuf) by informing him that his promotion which was due was cancelled for no apparent reason.

At least that is what Yusuf felt. He was being victimized by Jenna for no apparent reason. Yusuf went home that evening and bottled up his feelings for that night. He did not speak to his wife regarding the matter and decided to sleep the anger away. Yusuf woke up the next day, still not happy about the outcome of his proposed promotion. While on his way to work he received a call from his cousin (Raad) from neighboring country.  Yusuf owed Raad a few thousands of his currency, which he borrowed a decent while back on the understanding that Raad will let him pay back in due time. Since the duration of time to payback was not discussed, Raad thought it appropriate to bring the subject up after three months of lending the money to his cousin. Yusuf Conducted the negativity to Raad by bellowing out his worst at him, saying that he should have been more patient and that it was not the right time for him to call.

Now that Raad was passed on the baton he remained calm for most of the morning. Since this neighboring country was one hour behind Yusuf’s, there was more time for more damage to be done. When it was finally time for Raad to conduct the said energy, he was driving his way to the nearest grocer, which was a few kilometer away from his house. Halfway through, he got stopped by a traffic police (imagine Obaid) for a faulty tail light. Raad exchanged a few heated words with Obaid before taking the fine and speeding off in a huff.

Obaid was new to the police force and conducted himself well most of the times. This day when it was time to wind up the day, he transmitted the energy to his superior (Jafar). When Jafar asked Obaid, why he had not submitted his medical certificate for his absence from work due to flu a week prior, Obaid turned to a Conductor and retorted as to why he couldn’t check with his own assistant (Laila), who had collected the certificate from him on his first day of resumption of duty.

Laila never got involved in this melee because Jafar had a soft spot for her. That and they were having an illicit affair which most of the police unit knew about. Jafar instead went back to his house with his new found burden and kept the humiliation suffered at the hands of his subordinate in mind. That evening a good friend (Monir) of Jafar, decided to drop by Jafar’s residence. They were the best of friends and stayed up late over shiha and a few drinks. Though the evening progressed smoothly at first, Jafar relayed the burden off his chest by squabbling with Monir over some petty issue. The whole thing escalated into a heated argument and finally ended in a fist fight.

Since both Monir and Jafar were both working in the police, nothing came of the fight other than both parting ways with a heavy grudge against each other. Monir was slightly higher in rank and was in-charge of state security. When he was called in by the president to assess the threat against their nation by a super power nation, Monir carried along with him the excess baggage of hate and anger that he felt at his long friendship. Monir was the final Conductor in this saga, relaying all the wrong information to the nameless president, evoking fears in him and provoking a first blood strike at the enemy nation. Though the president finally decide to go on an all-out war with his warring enemy, Monir in this example could very easily have been the Decider, whose act catapulted the nation to war.

Theoretically I started the war. If I did not pay heed to the misfortunes that surrounded me on that fateful day that I did not give way to Clark on the highway. If I only ignored all the wrongs that happened to me on that day, this catastrophe could have been avoided. I do believe in the supernatural. All the religions preach the same thing. Be good to others! I have not come across a religion which asks it’s believers to be bad with others to attain salvation. Even though there may be other aspects of our life or surroundings which are controlled by the supernatural forces, we still have a choice of how we react to these. We could react positively and ignore the wrongs or react negatively and start a war like I did.
