Call me crazy but...
What is up with all these tattoos?
Why would anyone want one?
I especially find myself scratching my head when I see an older woman with a new tattoo.

What are they thinking????

When my husband was in the service many years ago he went with a friend of his who was hell bent on getting a tattoo. My husband went with him to try to talk him out of it...
Yup, you guessed it not only did the other guy get a tattoo but my husband got one as well. A blank panther on his wrist.

The young kids are trying to stand out and make a statement. But when they all get these silly tattoos they look just like everyone else. How is that standing out????
Making a statement??? I just don't get it. I can snicker to myself and just chalk it up to kids being kids.

But I just can't understand older women getting tattoo. I can not imagine ME going into a tattoo parlor to get a tattoo. But I see women older than me with new tattoos. What is up with that?

The question is WHY???? If anyone can shed some light on this for me I would greatly appreciate knowing the WHY.

I saw a documentary years ago about tattooing. This young man had his head shaved. His head was tattooed as if it were the spider's web.... his eye was the spider. I am shaking my head now wondering what was he thinking. This was several years ago. I am wondering what he is doing NOW. How in the world could you go out and get a job with a spider for an eye?

Gosh, am I sounding OLD? I wonder if in my youth I could have thought that "cool?" I do not think that even when I was young and crazy would I have thought that a spider web on a shaved head and a spider for an eye would have been "cool."

I can just see this guy coming to my house to pick me up for a date. My mom and my dad would have locked me in my room till I came to my senses I am sure. I am laughing at the very thought of that.

And another thing...What is up with the HUGE holes in the ear lobes? When that would have been done the skin would of had to of been removed just like a paper punch. I bet it "can't" grow back. So that would mean that those HUGE earrings with the holes in them would always have to be worn till the day they die, other wise they would have a 1/2 inch diameter hole in each ear lobe.

I think I sound OLD. I wonder if I sound like my mother?
Mind you... all just my opinion but do we gain knowledge with age?
