Approaching your Local Affiliate Marketing Clients
I know you are asking, how should I approach local businesses and pitch my idea. My answer to this question is to start by speaking with your neighbors and friend who already owns a business that can benefit from your services.
let them know exactly what you do, and what you can do towards the growth of their business.
Determine the goal of your clients
Most of the local businesses you will approach will already know what a new client/buyer is worth to them money wise. You must go in there asking alot of questions, but only ask relevant questions that will help you figure out the best way to market this particular business.
To demonstrate I will use a dentist as a perfect example.
I've just gotten Chris a dentist in my local area, who just became my client. Me and Chris are sitting down in his office talking about how, I will send him more leads/customers.
Chris initially explained to me his goal is to get more patients. I asked him more questions and he tells me that he knows women ages 25 all the way up to 45 are often calling to schedule appointments for their families.
Now I want to know exactly how much was new client worth to Chris; Sure enough Chris tells me a new client to him is worth about $350.

Determine the Value Per Lead
When you're ready to enter into agreement with the local business you must agree upon, how much money you will receive for each lead you provide them with.
In other word you and the company must figure out how much every lead you send them is worth, money wise. Once this is figured out you guys can agree upon your percentage of which you will be paid.
How to track your Leads
1. Send people to call a special number
Most businesses have a person or team to answer the phone when any lead calls. You will get a special number form the business for your leads to call, so that the company can verify the leads that you send them. I remember a car dealership that I worked with. The car dealership knew that every phone call they got is worth $24 to them, I proposed that they pay me $14 for every lead phone call I send them.
I know you are asking right now "how will I know the local business will be honest i telling me the real number of leads I sent them"
2. Setup a special code that the business phone receptionist will ask for.
This is simple you create a special code for the leads, so when the leads call they must give the phone receptionist that number from there the business will verify your lead. To make this more interesting you can work a deal with the businesses where the leads get something for giving the special code: like a discount, or a prize/gift.
3. Collect all the information your own self (name, phone number, email, age). Everytime a lead calls you would take their information, and send it over to the business for them to verify your lead.
