What are the Secrets to Online Success?

Is it spending thousands of dollars trying every new thing that comes along? Maybe it is joining multiple programs and promoting everything you can think of? Could it be all about the headlines you use in your marketing? Perhaps it is about having clever ad copy. Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions?

At some point you may begin to wonder just what are the secrets to online success. While many marketers will have many different opinions on what it takes to become an online success I can honestly say that after ten years online it comes down to just a handful of strategies that work for me and I am happy to share them with you here.

Strategy #1:  Being rather than doing.

Being who you are and letting your personality and expertise shine throughout your business. If you just do business without putting any heart into it, then you are just like the majority of every other businesses out there. But if you are being rather than doing, you will stand out as the expert.

 Strategy #2:  Getting Real.

Getting Real is about being available and being in the spotlight. People like to do business with people they know. If your sales pages don’t include your picture, or a way to contact you, then you are actually hurting you own business by not showing up! Ouch!

Let me give you an example: Just this week I found a social networking system that I really liked. It offered many time saving advantages that would make my marketing on numerous networks go smoother. I joined at the top level offered which was going
to cost me about $60 dollars a month. Assuming I stayed a paying customer that would bring the sites owner a yearly total from just my account to $720. Now to me that is a valuable customer that should receive TLC service. But no one showed up.
My account was never upgraded so that I could use the upgraded offers and after numerous tickets to the support site I finally gave up and canceled my account. I am still out the $60 and hoping for a refund but I doubt I will ever see that money again.

If you don’t Get Real and show up for your customers you can bet that they will drop out fast. Why even begin a business if you aren’t even going to show up?

Strategy #3:  Caring about the success of others.

You reap what you sow, nough said.

Strategy #4: Believing in whatever you offer.

If you haven’t used the product yourself, then how can you believe in it? You must know your product or service inside out before you begin to promote it. Would you be willing to buy your offer yourself? That is a great way to test the value of your offer.

Strategy #5: Creating relationships before sales.

So your bank account is sitting on empty and my advice is to create relationships before sales? Yes it is and here is why. Relationships that are good will multiply your sales and relationships that are bad will kill them. We all know how fast bad news travels. But when you create relationships with people they are so impressed that they will do all they can to help you succeed. They will more often than not buy from you again and they will tell their friends about you and your business.

Strategy #6: Never giving up.

If you have set-up your business correctly then there is always the potential of a thousand dollar sale out there. Somewhere in all you do and all you promote there should be an offer that will bring you an immediate sale worth one thousand dollars. This is your motivation to keep going and never give up. You simply say to yourself anytime you start to think about quitting that you are always one email or one phone call away from a thousand dollars. If you quit today you miss that sale.

I hope you enjoyed this article and will look for more to come in all you do.
