 Your graphics communicate emotion
Your graphics must communicate emotion. If your visitors arrive at your
page and the see the graphics and feel nothing, then you need to change  the graphics.
The graphics should promise to move them away from pain or
toward pleasure. People do not spend money unless by spending money they
will have more fun or get their pain relieved.
What is the #1 thing to keep in mind when with your graphics? What your
customers want! When you stray from your customer’s problems and what
they want, you will lose their attention and they will go somewhere else.
You lose money.
  Your graphics are unique
Some graphics are designed to look amateurish so that they feel personal.
A personal feeling graphic may seem more trustworthy. We’re not telling
you to make your graphics look stupid. We don’t want your graphics to look like a kindergarde
ner made them either. What we are saying is that
if your graphics look more personal they will feel more trustworthy. When
you have a customer’s trust, they will hand you money when you ask them
to. Just be careful not to ever break that trust.
  Your graphics offer value
Think that words like “discount” and “sale” are cliché and don’t work
anymore? Think again! These words make us feel like we’re saving money
and getting special value and that is a very powerful feeling. When you
carefully use the words “sale” and “discount,” more people will read and
click on your graphics. It’s that simple. Yes, you do want to emphasize
quality as well. But if you are offering a special price for your product
or service, put it in your graphic!
You also need to explain the details of the value that you are offering.
Say you are offering $3,997 worth of value but you’re only charging $47
for it. Use graphics and pictures to illustrate the value so that it
makes sense and seems even more valuable. Making your site convert better
is about taking note of what your customers want and delivering it to
them. If you don’t know what they want then you may have to ask them!
Smart businesses don’t ever stop listening to what their customers are
saying. How do you keep track of all the new trends and stay on top of
your customers needs? Test, test, and test some more. Do surveys on your
customers and ask them what they need.
When you know what your customers want then you know how to get money.
Just give them what they want! But if you are not committed to truly
helping your customer, your product will not be the highest possible
quality and your customer will not spread the word about your company.
To sell them the product they are looking for, you have to sell at a price they are willing to pay.
Use graphics to illustrate that your price is a bargain and the quality will impress them and improve their lives!
What pain will it relieve? What pleasure will it bring? Tell your customers each and every way that your product will improve their lives!
