Sacrifice and Victory
Sacrifice and victory go hand in hand.
Dwight Eisenhower said, “There are no victories at bargain prices.”
There must be some kind of sacrifice, effort, or activity in order to bring about a victory.
I have fallen for so many get rich quick schemes, programs, and scams that it is a painful subject to bring up for discussion.
Recently though, I have finally learned that value is only increased by a few factors.
They are:
- Commitment
- Sacrifice
- Dedication
Commitment – This involves the voluntary act to undertake a project and see it through. It must be a quality statement that will require the person not to give up. He must be committed.
Sacrifice – This involves getting rid of the self pleasures and instilling the discipline necessary to see the project through.
Dedication – This is a principle that requires you to put this project above everything else everyday until the project is accomplished.
I remember the times I tried to lose weight. I would start out with a particular diet that promised a fast weight loss.
I would last for several days and then overeat and blow the diet. A lot of the problem was trying to lose weight by dieting.
The diet promised a fast weight loss but failed because I did not apply commitment and sacrifice long enough to see a dieting victory.
It was at this point that I realized that the diet was not the problem or the solution.
However, there were thousands claiming how much weight they lost using the diet plan. Just because someone else uses a program and has results does not mean that you can do the same.
I found it took me some time and forethought to encourage myself high enough to make a “Quality” decision or commitment. Without the quality decision, commitment is not going to last.
Sacrifice became much easier because I had counted the cost and determined that I was able to stay on my diet. I was willing to accept delayed gratification in order to reach my goal.
Dedication requires staying on course toward your destination. It is not asking, “Are we there yet,” but is willing to stay on our diet as long as necessary.
Our new diet must become our new way of lifestyle. Otherwise we return to our old ways and regain the weight.
Networking is no different. If you are not successful with network marketing look at the three necessary principles and re-apply them.
The only way you ever lose is by quitting.
