The Shocking Truth About Your Corporate Job - Stacie Walker - Woman in Leadership

"The mistake of having a false sense of security with having a corporate job."

If you are not living a life where you call the shots, don't you think you deserve this kind of freedom?

The truth is, once you taste the satisfaction of being your own boss, you will NEVER go back to a regular J.O.B. because you control your income and can spend more quality time with your family.

I am aware that some of you reading this are saying, “Yeah right, if you are willing to put in a few years of 70 hour work weeks with zero profit. Working at a job has its own realities. Therefore, the reality is that about 90% of people with their own business fail!”

Now, I am not saying quit your job right away, because making the transition from employee to having your own business is a process. Just like everything else in life.

Are willing to exchange 3 years of additional work to earn over 10K per month?

If your answer is no, then you are selling yourself short.

I am willing to put in the extra hours or years because the end result is absolutely worth it. It may take 3 months, 9 months, or 7 years, but it will change my life forever.

The kind of abundance you get from having your own business does require WORK. There are a lot of scammers out there that will try to convince you that there is no work involved to build a business online.

This is a major red flag.

The sad thing is, a lot of people searching for an alternate way to earn extra income will fall for that type of bullsh.t. This usually happens because of the desperation to make ends meet.

The only way to fail permanently with having your own business is to totally give up when the times get rough.

It is mandatory for you to get the proper knowledge about business building. There is no way around this, unless you have the funds to hire. Most likely this is not option...yet.

Mindset plays a huge roll with your business success, too.

A friend of mine, Julie Steelman, said it best, “First, you must alter your mindset so everything around you, including yourself, is clear about making more than you need.”

If you have already taken the step of starting your own business but have not yet hit your mark, then maybe you need additional training by choosing the right mentors to enhance your skillset as a leader and as a business owner.

I went a while without success. It all changed when I found the right mentors, altered my mindset, and invested in myself by increasing my skillset in the areas of marketing and business building.

Life is fantastic!

I made the mistake of having a false sense of security with having a corporate job.

All of that changed when I ended up in the emergency room due to liver complications. I was out of work for two months. I didn't receive any sick leave and my paychecks immediately stopped. My life was a wreck and I was a total mess.

On a positive note, something unexpected happened to me.

At the beginning of month three of being away from my job, my life began as an entrepreneur.

By the time I recovered from my health scare, I made the transition from an employee to a business owner.

It dawned on me that I did not have to return to a life of working under someone else or having an embarrassing cap on my annual salary. I was already producing more money at home in my silk pajamas, working part-time than I was working full time at a job I really did not care much about.

No way was I going to return to a full time nightmare career that made me miserable.

Gone are those days. I have not looked back.

If natural limitations are in your way, circumvent them or eliminate them. Virtually nothing can stop you if you are driven to get to the top in this life.

The life you desire can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible, and it is yours.
