Hubbie and I know for years that we want to live in Turkey for the bigger part of the year. However it was supposed to happen in 2015. Because Dutch army does a major reorganization and shrinking in employee numbers. Because of that my husband got the opportunity for early retirement which he accepted. he will retire in August next year.

Turkey suddenly becomes very close. Lots of planning to do and decisions to be made. Our house needs to be pimped before we can put it up for sale. Make the nicotine yellow walls and ceiling white again, get rid of a lot of junk we do not need in Turkey etcetera. We are planning to look for a large caravan on a camping in the neighborhood where we can live. Than put the stuff we want to keep in storage and than start cleaning and decorating our house so that we can put it up for sale. Hopefully the market will become a bit better for selling real estate. We do not buy anything in Turkey till we sold the place. We do have the advantage we can afford to be flexible in sales price since we do not have to buy an new expensive home in Holland but in Turkey where homes are much cheaper.

We need to figure out where we want to live, buy or rent first or maybe even have a house built according to our wishes. Much will depend on how much money we get from selling our dutch home.

We need to do a lot of research on laws and regulations on buying real estate in Turkey as a foreigner too.

We need to understand basics of Turkish if we want to set up any business there and decide what business. For me it is not that hard since my work is online. Hubby needs to find something he likes to do an keep him buzy.

We started Turkish lessons but it is very difficult. I need to spend more time studying but social media, online marketing and my TE absorb most of my time.
