Don't Spread Yourself Too Thin

This is one of the all time greatest mistakes people make online. They get all stoked about one company and hit the ground running, then run into a little snag or setback and immediately start looking for the latest and greatest opportunity.
Pretty soon, they are trying to promote dozens of products, services and programs and there is no focus to their work. You cannot do everything and do it well.
There is nothing wrong with working a few programs, but you need to have a plan of action as to which is your first, second, third, fourth, etc. service and this might not be based on income. If you really have a passion for something, you are far better off focusing more attention on that program than the one making the most money.
Money is great, but without passion of what you are doing, the money is not going to mean much and you will get burned out quickly. Once this happens, the money will stop and you are back to square one.
On the other hand, if you have a passion for something, whether it is trees, cars, vitamins, animals, kids or whatever and you are promoting something that will benefit your passion and yourself; you will find that life is so much sweeter.
When I left corporate marketing, I was making a lot of money—a lot of money! For the first 10 – 12 years, I loved what I was doing, I did not mind the travel, hotel and airplane food still tasted good, my life and job were exciting. However, after a while, I started to realize that all this money is great, but I could not spend it, I began to miss my home, I started a family, got my dog and then everything changed.

I no longer wanted to be away, Hotel food started to taste bland, airplane trips got longer and longer and I dreaded going to work. Once I made the decision to quit and got out, I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my head. It took a while to get back to making the money I was making, but my life was so much happier and more fulfilling than it had ever been.
Even, if I had never gotten back to the money I was making, it would have been worth it because at the rate I was going, I would probably be dead right now.
In short, enjoy what you do and you will never work a day in your life and focus on the positive and the money will take care of itself.
